Enable Masking of Personal Mobile Numbers from Employees

To further enhance privacy and security settings offered within Spoke Phone, we have released a new feature that allows the masking of private phone numbers for employees.

With this feature, employees' private cellphone numbers are no longer displayed when their profiles are viewed on both mobile and desktop apps.

Auto Log-out from Administrator Portal

A new version of the Administrator Portal has been released with improved security features.

With this version, Admin Users are now automatically logged out if they are idle for a fixed period. The default session timeout is set to 60 minutes and can be configured to suit organizational preferences.

Improved Messaging For Forced SSO Logins

This update relates to customers that force their users to sign in to Spoke using SSO (Single-sign-on).

Users attempting to log into the Spoke mobile app, desktop app, or account portal, are now presented with a specific message telling them that their company requires them to login with SSO, if they attempt to sign in with an email or mobile number.

Fix for Inability to Transfer Calls on Some Desk Phone

We have released a fix for a known issue concerning the inability to transfer calls from a SIP device (desk phone.)

The problem was occuring when a desk phone was assigned/owned by a user and the call was received via a Call Group offer.

With this fix, desk phone users answering call group calls, are able to press the phone's * key to initiate a call transfer and transfer the call to other Spoke users or extensions.

Support for Single-Sign-On (SSO/SAML)

With the release of support for SSO/SAML the following features are now available:

  • Administrators can now configure single-sign-on (SSO) for Spoke Phone using their chosen SAML provider
  • Users can now sign in to the Spoke mobile and desktop app using their existing company credentials (e.g. Microsoft, Google, Okta, etc.)
  • Administrators can now sign in to the Spoke Account Portal using their existing company credentials.

Fix for Inverted Scrolling; Upgrades for Security and Compliance

The latest version of the Spoke Phone desktop app (6.48.0) has been released with a fix for inverted scrolling when viewing SMS messages.

This version of the desktop app also contains upgraded dependencies as part of our security review as Spoke work toward HIPAA and SOC II compliance.
