Manual Availability for Offline/Online State

For companies that have Agents who work in shifts, or users that work variable days/patterns, the new Manual Availability mode allows users to manually set their availability status.
For instance, at the start of a shift the user can set themselves as Available and start taking calls and replying to messages, and then set themselves Offline at the end of their shift.
The new Manual Availability mode means users no longer need to set an availability schedule or log in and out of the Spoke app on each shift.

Companies interested in trying the Manual Availability mode can turn it in the Account Portal.

This feature is part of a wider release that allows Administrators to see and change User Availability from within the Account Portal.

For now, please note:

  • Administrators can enable Manual Availability mode by turning OFF the new setting "Allow employees to manage their own availability schedule", which can be found on the Advanced > Other page.
  • Enabling the Manual Availability mode will:
      • require users be on version 8.6.0 or greater, of the Spoke app, which may restart the app
      • require users to manually set themselves Offline and Available going forward
  • Once you turn on Manual Availability:
      • It is turned on for all users
      • Users will longer be able to set an automated availability schedule in the app
      • All existing automated availability schedules will be deleted for all users
      • If a user happens to be  "Offline" by way of their automated availability schedule at the time you turn on the Manual Availability mode, the user will have to manually set themselves as available in order to get calls
